CODEPINK’s Conscious Valentine’s Day Campaign
If you don’t know about CODEPINK, you should check them out. Founded in 2002, it is a women-led grassroots organization that aims “to end U.S. wars and militarism, support peace and human rights initiatives, and redirect our tax dollars into healthcare, education, green jobs and other life-affirming programs.”
CODEPINK opposes “the continuing U.S. war in Afghanistan, torture, the detention center at Guantanamo, weaponized and spy drones, the prosecution of whistleblowers, U.S. support for the Israeli occupation of Palestine and repressive regimes.”
I was particularly impressed by CODEPINK’s conscious Valentine’s Day Cards, with messages about peace, solidarity, resistance and social justice. Since love is eternal and universal, the cards can be shared even after February 14. Love should be every day, after all.
Here are some of the beautiful cards available. Click the links below to download.
